Developing your career as a project management professional requires an understanding of the basic language of Project Management. This course will provide you with enough understanding of the subject to give a better awareness of project management and the skills involved.
For anyone considering a career in project management or simply looking to improve their knowledge of the subject.
Whether you have been studying for your APM PFQ alone, using e-learning or simply require additional support, this workshop is designed to help you prepare for your PFQ exam. The learning activities will be tailored to the specific needs of the workshop attendees, concentrating on those subjects which the group feels need most attention.
Over the course of a 1 or 2-day workshop, you will learn to appreciate the difference between a project management environment and the ‘business as usual’ operating environment.
This topic does not include the PMQ exam itself. This must be booked separately.
What’s the outcome?
Having undertaken the workshop, you should be more confident in being able to apply APM project management language to the areas of project management and eventually undertake the APM PFQ exam.
Through more widespread adoption of the APM approach, projects will be delivered in a more consistent fashion across your organisation. This will result in more projects being successfully delivered in line with expectations of time, cost and quality.
What does it involve?
Delivered face2face, this topic takes you through all the relevant components of the APM syllabus. The focus is on assessing individual areas for improvement and preparing for your eventual exam.
